down, before starting the fan back up.
Depending on size and temperature
conditions, it may take up to 30 mi-
nutes to cool down. Only then can
the unit be switched back on.
EC units: The internal control electronics
prevent the fan from overheating/overload
(thermal fuse/thermal circuit breaker in motor
winding).

6. Operation: Switching on/off

The fan is switched on and off with a switch,
for example, with a suitable 3-step switch.

8. Transport, storage

8.1 Transport
WARNING
Danger if impermissible means of
transport or lifting gear are used.
Note weight and centre of gravity (centre).
Do not stand under a suspended load.
NOTICE
Risk of damage if means of transport are
incorrectly attached. Do not place load on
sensitive components, such as the impeller.
8.2 Storage
● Only store fan horizontally in a suitable,
dry room: Ambient temperature -10 to
+60 °C.
● Before installing it, check that the diagonal
fan is working properly.
● Maico accepts no liability for corrosion
damage caused by improper storage,
e.g. storage in a damp room.
