MOUNT THE PLANETARY RING ROLLER ON A WOOD
WORKBENCH
The hardware to mount the tool is not included.
1.
Clean the work area where the tool will be mounted.
2.
Position the planetary ring roller. Check that it is level and there are no
obstructions around it that will interfere with a long workpiece.
3.
Slide a flat washer over a 1/4 in. diameter wood screw that is long enough
to penetrate the benchtop at least a 1/2 in. Insert the screw through a hole
in the base and secure the base to the bench top.
4.
Repeat with the other screw. Tighten all screws until the gap between
the tool and the bench top is 1/8 in.
OPERATION
Neither end of the bar stock will be curved. This is due to the leading length
of stock extending beyond the upper wheel and resting on the lower wheel
without tension.
When the other end of the bar stock slips off the adjustable wheel, it is no
longer under tension and will not be bent.
The ends will have to be bent and stretched by another method or cut off to
allow the curved ends to meet. If cutting off the ends, you will need a bar
that is longer that the finished ring' s diameter.

Determine the finished ring' s diameter and select the appropriate
length of stock.
2.
Turn the adjustment knob counterclockwise to fully lower the
adjustment wheel.
3.
insert the end of the metal bar between the adjustable wheel and
upper drive wheel until it rests against lower drive wheel.
a.
Snug flat stock up against the inner edge of the wheels to make
sure the stock does not slip out of the wheels during use.
b.
Slide round or square stock into the wheel' s groves.
4.
Turn the handle and guide the stock through the wheels until it rolls
off the drive wheel. This will create a shallow curve.
a.
Turn the handle counterclockwise when the stock is moving from
your left to your right and clockwise and when moving the stock
from your right to your left.
