K) Store the breathalyzer in a place where it is protected
from dust and liquids.
L) Do not blow too hard into the device, as this can
damage the sensor, especially if a lot of saliva gets into
the device when blowing.
M) Do not store the device near alcohol-based agents
such as disinfectants or solvents and do not use them
to clean the device.
Preparation for the test
1. Open the battery compartment cover on the top of the
device using the notch. Insert the AAA battery (alkaline,
1.5 V), included with delivery, into the battery compart-
ment. Make sure that the polarity (+/-) is correct when
inserting the battery and when replacing it later.
2. Insert a mouthpiece into the opening on the right-hand
side of the device. Make sure that the mouthpiece is
firmly in place. Use a new mouthpiece for each test
subject to ensure proper hygiene and maintain mea-
surement accuracy, as a used mouthpiece may contain
residual alcohol inside.
Carrying out the test
1. Press the power button for about 1 second until the
device beeps and the ACE logo appears on the dis-
play. The device goes through a warm-up phase, which
is then displayed. After the warm-up phase, the device
beeps twice and „Blow" appears on the display, indica-
ting that the device is ready for the test.
2. Blow into the device through the mouthpiece. The
device automatically detects the air flow and starts to
beep continuously. Maintain the flow of breath for about
3-4 seconds. The breathalyzer ends the test with an
audible and perceptible „click-clack" sound. The result
appears on the display.
