The device may only be used in accordance with the inst-
ructions in the operating instructions. All measured values
determined by this breathalyzer are for guidance only and
are not legally binding. We recommend the use of clip-on
mouthpieces for breath tests. To practice good hygiene and
to avoid falsified readings, a new mouthpiece should be
used for each test.
Important instructions for using the ACE XS breathalyzer
A) Wait at least 15 minutes after the last sip of alcohol until
performing the alcohol test. Do not eat, drink or smoke
during this time.
B) Do not open the external hardware.
C) Do not store the breathalyzer in a cold, hot, damp or
poorly ventilated place.
D) Keep the breathalyzer out of the reach of children.
E) After a longer storage period, carry out three „run-in tests"
before carrying out the actual alcohol test.
F) Avoid dropping the breathalyzer.
G) Replace the battery if its capacity is low. A reduced bat-
tery capacity can lead to incorrect test results.
H) Do not carry out a test in noisy environments, as sound
waves can interfere with the sensor. Also avoid draughty
or poorly ventilated areas.
I) After a test result of 1.00 per mille or higher, the sensor
requires a longer recovery time. In this case, wait at least
three minutes until the next test.
J) Avoid testing in very cold, hot or smoky environments
with poor ventilation.
