2.2 Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Read the warning instructions that follow before you use
the product.
● Do not allow any children or anyone who is unfamiliar
with the product to use it.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged.
● Do not modify the product.
● The product must only be used for its intended purpose.
● Do a check of the product, do not use the it if any parts
are missing or damaged.
● Do not start the product before it is fully installed
according to the instructions.
● Do not put the product near sources of water, make sure
that the distance is more than 1.5 m away from the
bathtub, wash basin or toilet.
● Make sure that the product cannot drop into water, and
that water cannot get into the product. Pull out the plug
immediately if the product comes into contact with water
or any other liquid.
● Do not use the product if the power cable or plug are
damaged, if the product has been in contact with water,
is not working properly, or if it is damaged in any other
way. A damaged power cable or plug must be replaced
by an authorized service center or other qualified
personnel to ensure safe use.
● Do not immerse the power cable or the plug in water or
any other liquid – risk of electric shock. Do not touch the
product, the power cable or plug with wet hands.
● Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage on the type plate. The product must be
connected to an earthed power outlet with a residual
current device that has a maximum tripping current of 30
mA.
● Fully unwind the power cable before use. Do not allow
the power cable to come into contact with any part of the
heater and keep it away from other sources of heat.
● Do not lay the power cable under carpets or where it can
be stepped on. Make sure that there is no risk of tripping
over the cable, or the cable being damaged or put under
strain.
● Do not lay the power cable around corners, or fold or
wind too tightly when the product is not in use.
● Do not use an extension cord unless it is necessary, there
is a risk of fire. If an extension cord is used, it must be in
good condition and of an approved type, with a minimum
cross-sectional area of 3 x 1.5 mm².
● Connect the product to a separate power circuit.
● Do not use the product outdoors or in areas with a floor
area of less than 10 m².
● Stop the product before you pull out the plug. Do not pull
the power cable to pull out the plug.
● Do not use the product in an explosive environment, near
flammable liquids, gas or dust.
● Do not place the product near or directly below a power
outlet, or near a fire or other source of heat.
● Do not place the product closer than 1 meter to any
flammable material such as: furniture, paper, curtains or
other flammable materials – fire risk.
● Do not cover the product– fire risk.
● Keep the ventilation openings on the product clean to
prevent overheating and reduce the risk of fire.
● Do not put anything on the product or attempt to dry
clothes on it.
● Make sure that air can circulate freely around the
product. Do not place the product near walls or large
objects, under furniture or in a cupboard, where there is
poor circulation of air. The necessary free space for the
exchange of air round the product is specified in the
section on installation.
● Do not insert foreign objects into the ventilation or outlet
openings – risk of electric shock, fire and/or material
damage.
● Keep the product under supervision when it is used by, or
near children or persons with functional disorders.
● This product can be used by children from 8 years and
upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or
mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or
knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions
concerning the safe use of the product and understand
the risks involved. Keep children under supervision to
make sure they do not play with the product. Do not
allow children to use, clean or maintain the product
without supervision.
● Keep the product clean; dust, dirt and deposits can
cause overheating. Remove any impurities at regular
intervals.
● Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
● This product is filled with a precise quantity of special oil.
Repairs requiring opening of the oil container are only to
be made by the manufacturer or the service agent who
should be contacted if there is an oil leak.
