CHECKING VACUUM PUMP OIL
Check the hydraulic oil level in the
vacuum pump and, if necessary,
top up to the level (about half the
gauge).
1) Oil inlet
2) Gauge (set at half scale)
3) Oil drain
PIPE CONNECTION
Connect charging hoses to station (high pressure = RED, low
pressure = BLUE). Make sure the quick-release couplings are in
the «CLOSED» position (turn clockwise to close). Perform a one-
or two-minute suction cycle followed by a vacuum leak test. The
above procedure prevents air from remaining in the pipes and
checks for leaks. (See corresponding instructions). The vacuum
and subsequent leak test must be repeated whenever the
charging pipes may have become contaminated with air. Check
that the setting corresponding to the pipe length is correct (select
«SETTINGS» then «PIPE LENGTH» and modify if necessary using
the «UP» and «DOWN» buttons. If the hose length is set to «0»
(zero), at the end of the work cycle, the station will not calculate
the gas remaining in the hoses at the end of the work cycle and
will, instead, instruct the user to suck the residual gas out of the
vehicle's A/C system. (In the case of a pressure test, which is
not preceded by a standard work cycle, the station recovers the
residual gas in the vehicle by default, regardless of the above
setting).
FILLING THE INTERNAL BOTTLE
For safety reasons, the station is delivered with
the internal gas cylinder empty. It is therefore
necessary to fill the cylinder with a quantity of
refrigerant not less than 2 kg and not more than
80% of the maximum nominal capacity of the
tank (this percentage may vary according to
local safety regulations). To fill the internal tank,
follow the instructions in the manual. To connect
to the cylinder, use the HP hose with the HP quick
connector.
