• Warning. Flat batteries must be disposed of
immediately. Keep new and used batteries out
of reach of children. Consult a doctor imme-
diately if you suspect that batteries have been
swallowed or inserted into a part of the body.
Danger!
• Handle a damaged or leaking battery with
extreme care and dispose of it properly and im-
mediately. Wear gloves to handle the battery.
• If you come into contact with battery acid then
wash the affected area with soap and water.
If battery acid gets in your eye rinse it out with
water and seek medical help immediately!
• Do not short-circuit the terminals.
Assembly (Fig. B)
Assemble the product as follows before using it
for the first time.
1. Unfasten the screw cap (1e) from the prod-
uct (1).
2. Fasten the rod (3) onto the product.
3. Place the cover (2) on the product.
4. Refasten the screw cap onto the product.
Inserting/replacing the
batteries (Fig. C)
WARNING! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
Before using the product for the first time, insert
the batteries (4) included with the product.
Inserting the batteries
1. Loosen the screw (1a) of the battery compart-
ment cover (1b) on the underside of the prod-
uct (1) with a suitable screwdriver (not included
in the package contents) and remove it.
2. Carefully insert the batteries (4) included with
the product into the battery compartment (1c).
The batteries must be completely inside the
battery holder.
Note: check the plus/minus poles of the batte-
ries and insert them correctly.
3. Screw the battery compartment cover (1b)
back onto the underside of the product.
Replacing the batteries
WARNING! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
When the batteries are flat, replace them as descri-
bed in the insertion instructions. Remove the batte-
ries from the product before inserting new ones.
Use (Fig. D)
1. Place the product on a level and solid surface.
2. Press the button (1d) once to activate the
product's function.
Note: the product has four speed levels. Press
the button to select the various speed levels.
3. Press the button five times to deactivate the
product's function.
Storage, cleaning
When not in use, always store the product dry,
clean, without batteries and at room temperatu-
re. Wipe clean with a dry cloth only.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with
harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal
In the interest of protecting the environ-
ment, do not throw your product into the
household waste once you are finished
with it, but rather take it to a specialty
disposal facility. Find out about collection sites
and their hours of operation from your local
authority.
Defective or used batteries must be recycled
pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC and changes
to it. Return batteries and/or the product via the
collecting sites provided. Packaging materials,
such as plastic bags, must be kept away from
children. Keep the packaging materials out of
reach of children.
Environmental damage caused by
improper disposal of batteries! Batteries
may not be disposed of with household
waste. They may contain toxic heavy
metals and are subject to hazardous waste
treatment.
