Care and Descaling
ATTENTION!
■
Danger of burns! The permanent fi lter and permanent fi lter holder are hot after use!
Let these parts cool down before you touch them.
■
The device and accessories are not suitable for being cleaned in a dishwasher.
■
Never immerse the device, the mains cable or the plug in water.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. These can damage
the surface.
1. Make sure that the device is switched off and not connected to the mains power!
2. Take the permanent fi lter holder out of the fi lter compartment.
3. Take the permanent fi lter out of the permanent fi lter holder and dispose of the used
coffee pad / coffee grounds.
4. Clean the permanent fi lter, permanent fi lter holder, the ceramic and thermo cup with
hot water and, if necessary, a small amount of mild detergent.
5. Then thoroughly dry all parts.
6. Place the permanent fi lter and the permanent fi lter holder back in the coffee maker
once they are completely dry.
7. If necessary, wipe the coffee machine with a damp cloth and then wipe it down with
a dry cloth.
Descaling
If the water only runs very slowly through the device or the device is louder than usual
during the brewing process, you should descale it. Use a standard commercial desca-
ling agent for coffee machines to descale the device.
1. Pour a mixture of water and descaling agent into the water tank and switch on the
device (without any coffee powder). Consult the instructions for using the descaling
agent with regard to the ratio of water to descaling agent.
2. Let the mixture run through the machine completely. Repeat this procedure if the
water still runs through slowly.
3. After descaling, let water without coffee powder run through the device at least three
times to fl ush the pipes etc.
