Before Initial Use
ATTENTION!

Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging ma-
terial.
1. Unpack the device and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items
Supplied and Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. If you fi nd any da-
mage, do not use the device (!), but contact our customer service department.
2. Remove any fi lms and stickers that may be present from the device.
3. Before you fi rst use the device, we recommend that you let two to three full tanks
of water run through the coffee machine without any coffee powder in order to fl ush
through all the lines etc. and to rid them of any possible production residues. To do
this, follow the instructions in the "Use" chapter.
4. Then clean the permanent fi lter, the permanent fi lter holder, the ceramic and thermo
cup with hot water and a little detergent. Dry these parts before they are placed back
inside the device.
Use
ATTENTION!

In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device for damage each time before
you use it. Only use it if the device, mains cable and plug have no signs of damage!
■
Danger of burns from steam escaping! Never open the water tank cover when the
device is switched on. Also do not pour any water into the water tank while the device
is hot! Hot steam or hot spray water may escape. Always switch off the device fi rst
and allow it to cool down before you add any more water.
■
Danger of burns! The storage plate, the permanent fi lter and permanent fi lter hol-
der are hot during the brewing process and immediately afterwards. There may also
be hot water inside the permanent fi lter and permanent fi lter holder. Let these parts
cool down before you touch them.
■
Never switch on the device without water in the water tank! The pump may be da-
maged.
■
Do not overfi ll the permanent fi lter to prevent from overfl owing.
■
Do not overfi ll the water tank to prevent the thermo cup / ceramic cup from overfl ow-
ing! Always fi ll the water tank with an amount of water that the cup located under the
coffee spout is capable of holding!
