MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 1 Right Hand Side Arm
C 1 Left Hand Side Arm
D 2 Spacer Plate (chassis cab variant only)
E 1 10mm Coupling Packer
F 4 M12x40x1.75mm Bolt, Washer (30mm OD), Lock Washer and Nut
G 4 M12x35x1.75mm Bolt, Washer (30mm OD), Lock Washer and Nut
H 4 M10x50x1.50mm Bolt, Washer (30mm OD) and Lock Washer
J 2 M16x65x2.00mm Bolt, Lock Washer and Nut
K 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. On the van only, remove and discard the 4 bolts attaching the x2 bumper arms. Remove spare for easier access before
fitting.
2. Van – Using bolts (H), loosely attach Towbar Main Frame (A), reattaching the bumper support arms to the captive nuts.
Discard Spreader Plates (D).
Chassis Cab – Using bolts (H) loosely attach Towbar Main Frame (A), sandwiching the spreader plates (D) between the
towbar and chassis rails, reattaching to the captive nuts. Clear out threads in chassis before hand.
3. Attach Sidearm ( B & C) to Main Frame (A) and to captive threads in vehicle chassis using fasteners ( F & G).
4. Finally tighten all bolts to their recommended torques setting.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z12) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
