d) Setting the watering time ("HOW LONG" function)
• Turn the thumb wheel (3) to the "HOW LONG" position. The watering time in hours/minutes (HH:MM)
appears and the hours start to flash.
• Use the "OK/MANUAL" button (8) to switch between the hours and minutes for the watering time.
• Set the hours/minutes by pressing the "DELAY+" button (6) or "–" button (7). For quick adjustment, press
and hold the corresponding button for longer.
The watering time can be a maximum of 3 hours and 59 minutes. The maximum duration depends
on the set watering interval (see previous section).
For example, if you have set a watering interval of 2 hours, you can set the watering time to a
maximum of 1 hour and 59 minutes.
• Exit the setting mode by using the thumb wheel to select another function (e.g. "OFF").
e) Setting the start time ("START TIME" function)
The start time is the time at which the water timer performs the first watering.
• Turn the thumb wheel (3) to the "START TIME" position. The start time (HH:MM) appears and the hours
start to flash.
• Use the "OK/MANUAL" button (8) to switch between the hours and minutes for the start time.
• Set the hours/minutes by pressing the "DELAY+" button (6) or "–" button (7). For quick adjustment, press
and hold the corresponding button for longer.
• Exit the setting mode by using the thumb wheel to select another function (e.g. "OFF").
f) Switching the water timer on
• Turn the thumb wheel (3) to the "ON" position. If no watering is active (valve closed), the display switches
between the current time and the start time of the next watering ("NEXT").
• When the start time is reached, the valve is opened and the first watering process starts. The display
shows the remaining watering time. Once the set watering time has elapsed, the valve is closed again.
g) Switching the water timer off
Turn the thumb wheel (3) to the "OFF" position. The display shows "OFF"; the valve is closed. This immedi-
ately terminates both a running watering program and manual watering.
h) Manual watering
Starting manual watering
• Turn the thumb wheel (3) to the "ON" position.
• Press and hold the "OK/MANUAL" button (8) for 3 - 5 seconds until the display shows "MANUAL" and e.g.
the time "00H:10M" flashes.
• Set the watering duration (min. 1 minute, max. 8 hours) with the "DELAY/+" button (6) or "–" (7). For a quick
adjustment, keep the respective key pressed longer.
• Start manual watering by briefly pressing the "OK/MANUAL" button (8). The display shows the remaining
time.
Ending manual watering
• Press and hold the "OK/MANUAL" button (8) for 3 - 5 seconds until the valve is closed (a "click" sound
can be heard).
• Alternatively, turn the knob to the "OFF" position.
i) Watering pause
You can pause the watering programme for 24, 48 or 72h:
Press and hold the "DELAY/+" button (6) for 3-5 seconds to activate the watering pause. The watering pause
and the "Delay" display now flash in the display.
Set the watering pause (24h, 48h, 72h) with the "DELAY/+" (6) or "–" (7) button. Start the watering pause by
briefly pressing the "OK/MANUAL" button (8).
If you want to end the watering pause prematurely, simply press and hold the "DELAY/+" button (6) again
for 3-5 seconds until the remaining time display disappears. Alternatively, turn the setting wheel to the "OFF"
position.
Turning on/closing the water tap
In order for the water timer to work and distribute water for watering, you must of course turn on the water
tap. Check that all connections are tight.
For safety reasons, the function of the water timer and/or correct watering must be checked regu-
larly. A damaged hose, leaking connections or children playing with the hoses could cause flood-
ing or water damage (for example, if water runs from a garden bed next to the house into a light
shaft/cellar).
We recommend turning the tap off if the water timer is not going to used for a long time. You should
also switch the water timer off to extend the battery life.
Overwintering
At temperatures around or below freezing, the water timer must be removed from the tap promptly. Allow
residual water to drain out. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and store the water timer in
a dry, frost-free location over the winter.
In the event of frost, the water will freeze inside the water timer; the higher volume of ice will
destroy the water timer and void the warranty!
Cleaning and maintenance
The coarse filter protects the valve in the water timer from larger impurities. Check for dirt at regular intervals
and wash it under clear water if necessary.
There are no serviceable parts in the water timer – never open or disassemble it (except for inserting/
replacing the batteries as described in these operating instructions). Maintenance, repair and associated
dismantling may only be carried out by a specialist or a specialist workshop.
Use a dry, clean, soft and lint-free cloth to clean the water timer.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may dam-
age the housing or prevent the product from functioning properly.
Disposal
a) Product
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market.
This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at
the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from un-
sorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well
as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users
from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of waste.

turers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in countries
outside of Germany.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries, if any, and dispose of them separately from the product. According
to the Battery Directive, end users are legally obliged to return all spent batteries/rechargeable batteries; they
must not be disposed of in the normal household waste.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol
to indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in
batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g.
below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wher-
ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold. You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environ-
mental protection.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that are disposed of should be protected against short circuit and their
exposed terminals should be covered completely with insulating tape before disposal. Even empty batteries/
rechargeable batteries can contain residual energy that may cause them to swell, burst, catch fire or explode
in the event of a short circuit.
