Some kernels may be too dry to expand into popcorn, also because they may
have been stored too long. In this case, a proportional amount of popcorn
could result in waste
Only use specific popping corn for preparation. The suitable quality is
normally indicated on the packaging.
Unused corn must be stored in a dark, dry place away from moisture. The
suitably resealed original packaging is usually sufficient for conservation even
for several weeks.
The moisture level of corn stored for a long time could vary even
considerably, making it less suitable for preparing popcorn: therefore, do not
use popcorn stored for excessively long.
Do not use fresh corn for making popcorn. The moisture rate suitable for the
preparation is obtained through an elaborate production process carried out
after the harvest; corn extracted from fresh or sun-dried cobs does not lend
itself to an acceptable preparation.
During preparation, the popcorn can be garnished with salt, sugar, cocoa or
other flavourings to taste: the amount of additional ingredients should in any
case be moderate in order not to jeopardise correct functioning of the
appliance.
For best performance, specific vegetable oil for frying is recommended: seed
or corn oils are preferred over olive oil, which characterises the flavour more
and makes the popcorn less digestible. In any case, refer to your personal
taste.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The product does not require maintenance, or rather the replacement of consumable
parts or scheduled overhaul. As a rule, it is sufficient to clean the cooking plate and
remaining accessories at regular intervals using common dish soap applied with a
sponge and adequate rinsing. All cleaning must absolutely be carried out with the power
cord disconnected and, before reconnecting, you must ensure that all parts are
completely dry. All surfaces and especially the cooking plate must also be completely
cooled down.
Always avoid aggressive detergents, abrasive sponges, iron wool or other chemical
cleaners. Use a damp cloth to clean the inside walls when the appliance is completely
cooled down.
