12. Troubleshooting

With the multimeter, you have purchased a reliable product developed using state-of-the-art technology.
Nonetheless, errors and malfunctions may occur.
Please review the following for information on troubleshooting should problems occur:

The multimeter is not working.
Resistance measurement not possible.
No measurement using the V/mA socket (7)
is possible.
No measurement using the 10A socket (4) is
possible.
There is no change of the measured value.
The multimeter is showing incorrect readings.
Repairs other than the ones previously described should be carried out by an authorized

Possible cause
Is the power indicator on?
Are batteries used up?
Check the state of the 9 V battery and the fuse.
Are batteries used up? Check the state of both micro (AAA)
batteries and the fuse.
Is the fuse defective?
Check the fuse F 0.5 A/500 V (replacing the fuse).
Is the fuse defective?
Check the fuse F 10 A/500 V (replacing the fuse).
Are the correct measuring sockets selected?
Is the correct measuring function selected (AC/DC)?
Was the display zeroed (zero adjustment/zero ohm adjustment
for resistance measurement) before measuring?
