4.2 Thermal Resistance Improvement
In this experiment, we wish to verify the resistance increase by adding material layers.
We know that:
Example of application:
A 3 mm porous PVC plastic thermal resistance is evaluated.
A 3 mm expanded PVC plastic thermal resistance is evaluated.
The two material layers are added to verify the above relation. The resistance of a wall
composed of two material layers is then evaluated. The total thickness is 6 mm.
We note an increase in the thermal resistance when adding both material layers.
