WARNING:
To reduce the risk of re or explosion, do not
operate this vac in areas with ammable gases,
vapors or explosive dust in the air. Flammable
gases or vapors include but are not limited to:
lighter uid, solvent-type cleaners, oil-based
paints, gasoline, alcohol or aerosol sprays.
Explosive dusts include but are not
limited to: coal, magnesium, aluminum, and
grain or gun powder. Do not vacuum
explosive dust, ammable or combustible
liquids or hot ashes. Do not use this vac as
a sprayer for any ammable or combustible
liquid. To reduce the risk of health hazards
from vapors or dusts, do not vacuum
toxic materials.
WARNING:
The operation of any utility vac can result in
foreign objects being blown into the eyes,
which can result in severe eye injury. Always
wear safety goggles complying with ANSI
Z87.1 (or in Canada, CSA Z94.3) before
starting operation.
After plugging the power cord into the wall
outlet, turn the unit "ON" by pushing the
switch from position "O" to position "I" or "II".
The position "I" and "II" are the low and high speed
positions respectively.

DRY PICK-UP
1. The lter must always be in correct position to
reduce the risk of leaks and possible damage
to the vac. Make sure that the lter is completely
covering the lter cage. Make sure there are
no gaps between the lter and the lid. It is
very important to assemble the lter to the
cage without any possible leaks or tears.
2. When using the vac to pick up ne dust,
it will be necessary to empty the dust tank
and clean or replace the lter at more
frequent intervals to maintain peak vac
performance.
NOTICE:
A dry lter is necessary to pick up dry material. If
the vacuum is used to pick up dust with the lter
is wet, it will clog quickly and be dif cult to clean.
Please make sure the lter is dry when doing
dry pickups.
INSTALLING THE CARTRIDGE FILTER
The cartridge lter should be used for all dry
vacuuming jobs, and may be used for small wet
vacuuming applications. For larger wet applications,
see the 'Wet Pick Up' section of the manual.
1. With the power head in an upside down position,
slide the cartridge lter down over the lid cage,
push the lter seals against the power head.
2. Turn the knob on lter retainer clockwise to
tighten, the lter into place.
3. To remove the lter for cleaning, turn the lter
knob counter clockwise till feel the tactile and
auditory cue, and make sure the knob arrow
align with the "Unlock" icon on the lter cap,
then slide the cartridge lter off the lid cage.
then grasp the step of knob tightly with ngers
to pull the cartridge lter out off the cage.
4. To clean the cartridge lter, shake or brush off
excess dirt or rinse (from the inside of the lter)
with water, dry completely (approximately 24
hours) and re-install.

NOTICE:
If the lter has been used for wet pick-up, it must
be cleaned and dried before dry pick-up.
