Specific Safety Instructions

The machine must be connected to a socket with a functioning protec-
tive earth (earthed wire). In case of doubt, check or let check the func-
tioning of the earthed wire.
Wear rubber boots when the floor is wet (insulation).
Only operate the machine off the mains using a 30mA fault current pro-
tected switch (FI breaker).
Introduce the rotating cable only when wearing the special glove provi-
ded, which permits the cable to run smoothly through the hand. Unsui -
table gloves, particularly rubber gloves, „stick" to the cable. This can
lead to accidents. For the same reason, never introduce the rotating
cable with a cloth.
Never work without first installing the guard for the chuck mount and the
guide hose for the cable. This is because the end of the cable projec-
ting from the machine will twist suddenly if the drain cleaning tool comes
up against some form of resistance and seizes.
