General Safety Rules
WARNING! Read all instructions, failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and /
or serious injury. The term "power tool" in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

Work Area Safety
a) Please keep work area clean and well lit. Dark or cluttered areas could invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids or fumes, gases or
dust. Power tools could create sparks which may ignite the gases or fumes.
c) Please keep children and bystanders in a safe distance while operating the power tool.
Electrical Safety
a) Please make sure that power tool plugs match the outlet.
Do not ever modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Using unmodified
plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock and other injuries.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded materials or objects, such as radiators, pipes, ranges and refrigerators. There
is an tremendous risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or any other wet conditions. Water entering a power tool could increase the risk of
electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the power cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the electric tool. Keep cord in a safe
distance from heat, oil, sharp edges and any moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords will increase the risk of electric
shock.
e) When operating an electric power tool outdoors, use an extension cable which has the appropriate specifications for
outdoor use. Use of a an extension cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of
an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal Safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while
you are feeling tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating a
power tool may result in serious personal injury.
b) Please use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, or
hearing protection, non-skid safety shoes or protective helmets, used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the power switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or
battery pack, picking up or carrying the power tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the power switch or energising
power tools that have the switch in the on position invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the power tool on. A tool left attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep balance and proper footing at all times. This helps to have a better control of the power tool in
unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from any moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery and/or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
