9 ASSEMBLY
The telescopic grass/shrub shear 20 V is supplied with some components which need to be
assembled. By using the telescopic long handle in combination with the grass shears, you can
push the cordless grass shear on wheels over the lawn. This allows you to easily maintain the
edges of your lawn without having to bend over constantly. By using the telescopic long
handle in combination with the shrub shears, tall hedges and shrubs can be pruned
comfortably as well.
Please proceed as follows:
9.1
Charging the battery pack (NOT INCLUDED)
▪
Charge the battery pack (see chapter 8).
9.2
Connecting the battery pack (NOT INCLUDED) (Fig. D & E)
▪
Push the simulated battery pack (5) onto:
− The connecting station at the bottom of the handle of the telescopic shaft (4) until the lock
engages in one of the recesses on the mount (Fig. D) (for use with the telescopic shaft).
− The connecting board at the at grass/shrub shear (12) until the lock engages in one of the
recesses on the mount (Fig. E) (for use without the telescopic shaft).
9.3
Fitting the long handle (Fig. A, F & G)
▪
To fit the long handle to the grass/shrub shear, push the connecting station at the bottom
of the telescopic shaft (28) onto the connecting board at the at grass/shrub shear (12) until
the lock engages in one of the recesses on the mount (Fig. F).
▪
The equipment is provided with a locking button for head adjustment (11) for cutting into 9
different angles (Fig. G).
▪
Loosen the screw socket (Fig. A, 7), adjust the telescopic shaft to the required length and
then re-tighten the screw socket.
▪
Loosen the handle screw for the additional handle (Fig. A, 6), then rotate the additional
handle (Fig. A, 9) in the most comfortable angle for you and fasten the handle screw
again. The rotatable handle can be put in 5 different positions.
9.4
Mounting the wheels (Fig. H)
▪
Now pass the wheels (1) through the axle mount (2) and plug together.
10 OPERATION
▪
The area to be cut, must first be cleared of stones and other solid objects.
▪
The safety lock-on (Fig. B, 18 and Fig. A, 3) prevents the tool being started unintentionally.
▪
Activate the safety lock-on (Fig. A, 3) by pushing it forward, or sideways (Fig. B, 18) and
press then on the ON/ OFF switch (Fig. B, 21 and Fig. A, 2) at the same time.
▪
To switch off the tool, let go of the ON/OFF switch (Fig. B, 21 and Fig. A, 2).
Keep your fingers away from the blades.
10.1
Cutting grass
▪
Allow the grass shear to glide above the ground.
▪
The best results are achieved when the lawn is dry.
▪
When you notice a drop in cutting performance, re-charge the tool immediately so that the
battery does not become fully discharged.
10.2
Trimming hedges
▪
The tool can be used to trim small hedges and shrubs.
▪
Hold the tool slightly tilted in relation to the hedge you want to cut.
▪
First cut the sides from the bottom up, then cut the top.
