• In an emergency, for example, if you see smoke coming out of
the device or if it makes unusual noises, disconnect the mains
adapter and/or remove the batteries.
• The plug must always be easy to reach in an emergency. For
this reason, it is important that the power socket is always
easily accessible.
• The device uses a small amount of electricity, even when it is
switched off. To completely switch off the device, either un-
plug it from the power socket or remove the batteries from
the battery compartment.
• Always hold the plug when disconnecting it from the socket.
Never pull on the cable.
• Never unplug the mains plug with wet hands. Danger of an
electric shock!
• Only use the mains adapter supplied.

3.6. Batteries
The device and remote control are battery operated. Please note
the following:
• Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children. Do
not swallow batteries as they can cause chemical burns. Bat-
teries are not a toy!
• Avoid contact with battery acid. If battery acid comes into
contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, rinse the af-
fected areas with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor
as soon as possible.
The CD player is a class 1 laser product. The device
has a safety system that prevents dangerous la-
ser beams from escaping during normal use. To
avoid eye injuries, never tamper with or damage
the device's safety system.
