nected to the charger for an extended period of
time after it has reached full charge.
Do not charge or use your eBike in any area with
u
a potentially explosive atmosphere, such as at a
fueling area, or in areas where the air contains
chemicals or particles (such as grain, dust, or
metal powders). Obey all signs and instructions.
If used incorrectly, the eBike battery may leak
u
fluid; avoid contact. If contact occurs, rinse off
with water. If the liquid comes into contact with
your eyes, seek additional medical attention.
Fluid ejected from the battery may cause skin irrita-
tion or burns.
eBike batteries must not be subjected to me-
u
chanical shock, excessive vibration or excessive
weight from objects placed on the battery. There
is a risk of the eBike battery being damaged.
The eBike battery may give off fumes if it be-
u
comes damaged or is used incorrectly. Ensure
the area is well ventilated and seek medical at-
tention should you experience any adverse ef-
fects. The fumes may irritate the respiratory sys-
tem.
Only charge the eBike battery using an original
u
Bosch charger from the system generation the
smart system. When using chargers made by other
manufacturers, the risk of fire cannot be excluded.
Use the eBike battery only in conjunction with
u
eBikes from the system generation the smart
system. This is the only way in which you can pro-
tect the eBike battery against dangerous overload.
Use only original Bosch eBike batteries from the
u
system generation the smart system that the
manufacturer has approved for your eBike. Us-
ing other eBike batteries can lead to injuries and
pose a fire hazard. Bosch accepts no liability or
warranty claims if other eBike batteries are used.
When not in use, disconnect the cable from the
u
PowerMore battery and from the charging
socket on the eBike battery and store the cable

away securely. Failure to do so poses a serious
risk of injury.
Keep the battery and charger away from chil-
u
dren and animals. Unless supervised or in-
structed on proper/responsible use, children or
people who lack the necessary experience or un-
derstanding to operate the battery and charger
safely should not be left unattended with the
battery and charger. There is a significant risk of
personal injury and/or damage.
The safety of both our customers and our products is
important to us. Our eBike batteries are lithium-ion
batteries which have been developed and manufac-
tured in accordance with the latest technology. We
comply with or exceed the requirements of all rele-
vant safety standards. When damaged, improperly
charged or misused, Lithium-Ion batteries are sus-
ceptible to an uncontrollable energy release resulting
in a sudden and severe fire. A Lithium-Ion battery fire
generally cannot be put out until the energy contained
therein is exhausted. Therefore, proper use, charg-
ing, discharging, care, maintenance, storage and
transportation are all critical to the long-term use of
the battery and the safety of the user and others.

The battery charge port terminals and/or the
u
charger plug can get contaminated. Repeatedly
connecting contaminated terminals can result in
worn and damaged terminals. Clean thoroughly
before connecting the charger.
Do not touch the terminals of the battery or
u
charger during an electrical storm in case of a
lightning strike.
Always follow charger and battery operating,
u
charging and storage temperature.
Do not use a power inverter to charge the bat-
u
tery from a 12-volt automobile auxiliary power
outlet in a vehicle. Incorrect or excessive voltage
can result in overheating, which can damage the
