NOTICE
When the relative humidity of inlet or ambient air exceeds 80%, apply an (field-supplied) auxiliary
drain pan beneath the indoor unit as shown in Fig.6.2.
NOTICE
Install the condensate pipe at a downward slope, as the condensate water may flow backwards and
leak into the room in case the indoor unit is stopped.
Do not connect the condensate pipe to the sewage pipe or other condensate pipe.
When the main condensate pipe is connected to the other indoor unit, each indoor unit must
be higher in position than the main pipe. Choose the condensate pipe with sufficient size in
accordance with the cooling capacity of the indoor unit.
After the electric wire and condensate pipe are well connected, ensure the smooth flow of water.
(a) Power on.
(b) Pour 2 to 2.6 qt (2 to 2.5 L) of water into the drain tray.
(c) Ensure the smooth flow of water and that there are no water leakages. Pour another 2 qt (2 L) of
water more when no water flows out of the pipe's end.
7. Electrical Wiring
WARNING
!
The electrical wiring work must be performed by qualified professionals. If not, it may cause an electric
shock or a fire.
Perform the electrical work according to the regulation of each region and "Installation & Maintenance
Manual", and the dedicated electrical circuit must be used. If the electrical wiring work is performed
incorrectly or there is a capacity shortage of the power circuit, it will cause an electric shock or a fire.
Use the specified cables for wiring between the outdoor unit and indoor units. Selecting incorrect
cables will cause an electric shock or a fire.
Install an ELB (Earth Leakage Breaker) in the power source. If it is not used, it will cause an electric
shock or a fire.
Turn OFF the main power switch of the indoor unit and the outdoor unit and wait for more than 10
minutes before electrical wiring work or a periodical check is performed. If not, it will cause an electric
shock or a fire.
Check to ensure that the indoor fan and the outdoor fan have stopped before electrical wiring work or a
routine check is performed.
Protect the wires, condensate pipe, electrical parts, etc. from rodents or other pests.
Tighten screws according to the following torque.
M3.5: 0.9 lbf.ft (1.2 N·m)
M4: 0.7 to 1.0 lbf.ft (1.0 to 1.3 N·m)
