DO NOT use an appliance which is leaking, damaged or which does not operate properly.
Please contact your supplying retailer for assistance.
•
Only change gas cartridges outdoors away from naked flames, other ignition sources and
other people.
•
ALWAYS turn off the control knob by turning it clockwise before inserting the gas cartridge
(OFF).
•
Keep the appliance upright while performing the following steps:
1. Unscrew the cartridge cover clockwise;
2. Place the gas cartridge in the cartridge cover;
3. Screw in the cartridge cover anticlockwise. See picture below. You will hear a 'click' once
the gas cartridge has been correctly installed.
•
If you smell gas or suspect a leak on your appliance once the gas cartridge has been fitted,
take the appliance immediately to a well-ventilated outdoor location, away from any ignition
sources, where the leak may be detected and stopped. First check your gas cartridge. It could
be that the gas cartridge is not connected properly with the sealing washer. If you have a
gas cartridge with safety valve, you can unscrew the cartridge cover and reinsert the
cartridge cover into the appliance. If you still smell gas and you want to check for leaks on
your appliance, do so outside. DO NOT try to detect leaks using a flame; use soapy water or
leak detector spray. If you're not sure about detecting the leak, have the appliance tested
by a qualified person. Please contact your supplying retailer for assistance.

Do make sure the appliance is placed on a flat, stable and non-combustible
surface.
•
Hold a long lighter (length of at least 140 mm) next to the burner point and light the lighter.
Then, slowly open the control knob anticlockwise (ON).
•
If the burner does not light after 5 seconds, turn off the gas valve and wait 10 seconds before
re-lighting.
•
Contact your supplying retailer if the appliance does not light after several attempts.
