Change of film format on
Magnetic Film Recorder/Reproducer MB 51-16/17 .5
When changing from 16 mm magnetic film to 17.5 mm magnetic film
and vice versa the following procedures are necessary:

1. Head assembly
Remove head assembly by
loosening central fixing
screw (K). Put on and fix
head assembly for other
film format.
By means of a switching
bridge at the connector of
the head assembly equali
zation of audio amplifiers
will be changed.
For reproducers which are
equipped with the combined
head assembly MK 16/17.5 it
is not necessary to change
the head assembly. When
changing format relays will
automatically switch
between the two replay
heads. When lacing the film
make sure that the start
mark of the 16 mm magnetic
film is on the replay head
with the red dot and the
start mark of the 17.5 mm
magnetic film at the replay
head with the yellow dot.
2. Sprocket
For magnetic film 16 mm
pull the 17.5 mm sprocket
away from the panel until
it locks and the 16 mm
sprocket is free.
For magnetic film 17.5 mm
push the 17.5 mm sprocket
towards the panel until it
locks and covers the 16 mm
sprocket.
