When the water level rises to a certain maximum level
(switch-on point) the floating float automatically switches
on the pump. If the water level drops to a certain mini-
mum level (switch-off point) by pumping down, the float
switches off the pump. The switching gap, i.e. the differ-
ence in water level between the switch-on and switch-off
point can be set individually.
For perfect functioning, please follow the instructions be-
low:

The fastening points and the length of the freely-mov-
ing end of the float cable are to be set to the desired
switching level. To do this, undo the screw on the float
switch and put it into the desired position. The freely
moveable length of the float cable must be 80mm.
When adjusting the screw, tighten it again.

In no case must the float be simply thrown into
the conveying medium with a cable, as the correct
switching is only possible with a rotary movement
of the float around the fastening point of the cable.
Possible consequences of not following this are over-
flowing (pump does not switch on) or destruction of
the pump due to dry running (pump does not switch
off).

Important: After the float fastening changes, the per-
fect functioning of the float circuit is to be checked
by a test run. You will find the switching points in the
technical documentation.
Box Float
The box float has a selector. If "manual" is selected, the
pump switches on directly. If the switch is on "automatic" ,
the pump only switches on when it first reaches a mini-
mum water level and switches off when the water level
falls below the minimum.
Shallow Water Pumping
The pump may pump away the residual water up to a
height of 5mm. Due to this conversion, therefore, the
pump loses its permit to DIN EN12050-2.
To be able to convey with the pump, the drain hose must
be emptied before the pumping process and a minimum
water level of 50mm must be present.

To do this, remove the suction screen on the pump hous-
ing by turning slightly to the right and then pull down to
pull it off.
