9. PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
The table below lists the main functional problems, with relative causes and solutions. If you have a problem that is not listed, or for information re-
garding different causes and solutions, contact one of our technical assistance centres.
OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS
• The high pressure cleaner does not start
• Having pressed the switch, the motor makes
•
a noise but does not start
• During functioning the machine stops and the
•
telltale "2" comes on
• The water jet is regular, but with very
•
low pressure values
• During functioning the pressure is irregular
• Vibrations in the high pressure pipe or the
•
pump functions with irregular pulsations,
•
variations in pressure and noisiness
• Noisy pump
• The H.P. pump oil displays traces of water
•
(the oil takes on a whitish colouration)
• Loss of water between head and pump body
CAUSES
• Electricity supply interrupted or insufficient
• The mains voltage is less than the minimum
•
required
• Electricity supply interrupted or insufficient
• Intervention of the thermal relay due to
•
excessive absorption of current
• Nozzle worn
• Nozzle unsuitable for the machine type
• Bypass valve not calibrated
• Water supply filter clogged
• Defective water network connection
• Worn pump gaskets
• Deformed or clogged nozzle
• Dirt in the bypass valve
• Hydraulic supply interrupted or insufficient
• The pump sucks air up
• Air inside the piping
• Bypass valve blocked
• Pump gaskets worn
• Inlet and/or delivery valves of the pump are
•
blocked, dirty or worn
• Machine start-up without having completely
•
discharged the air from the circuit
• Pump bearings worn
• High percentage of humidity in the air
• Pump gaskets worn
• Worn gaskets
• Worn pistons

SOLUTIONS
• Check the specifications of the electricity supply
• Check the electricity connections
• Check that the mains supply is adequate
• Check the specifications of the electricity supply
• Check the electricity connections
• Check that the water nozzle corresponds to
•
that declared as standard
• Clean the water nozzle
• Adjust the bypass valve
• Allow to cool for a few minutes
• Replace the nozzle
• Replace the nozzle
• Carry out valve calibration
• Clean the filter or replace it
• Check the water network
• Replace the gaskets
• Clean or replace the nozzle
• Clean the valve
• Check the hydraulic network
• Check for the presence of any leaks and tighten
•
all the junctions
• Detach the spray gun of the H.P. pipe and allow
•
the water to exit for some minutes with the
•
machine on
• Dismount the valve and clean or replace it
• Replace the gaskets
• Check the closure surfaces of the valves and
•
clean them or replace the valves
• Remove the spray gun and allow the H.P.
•
pump to function for a few seconds
• Replace the bearings
• Replace the oil twice as often as prescribed
• Replace the gaskets
• Replace the gaskets
• Replace the pistons
