3.2 Instructions for use:
Warning: The appliance has an automatic lifting and locking
system of the lid. Also the upper heating element self adjusts to
the height of the sandwich (3''/75mm maximum). Be sure that
these movements are never encumber.
Important: Before using the appliance make sure that the ap-
pliance is correctly installed and assembled (removable parts
fi xed in the right place), cleaned and connected to the power
supply.
START UP
The use of the baking paper on the upper heating plate is man-
datory. Before switch on the appliance put a delivered baking
paper has described in the following chapter 4.
Switch on the appliance by pressing the On/Off button. See
fi gure

The appliance will start the preheating mode and display two
dot lines as the fi gure
During this time (up to 20 minutes) the appliance will not be
operational, i.e. the lid cannot be kept closed automatically.
The end of the preheating mode will be indicated by displaying
P1 as shown in fi gure
for operation.
OPERATING MODE
The appliance has 4 preset programs. Make sure to use the
adequate program for the sandwich to be cooked.
1) Choose the desired cycle by pressing one of the four pro-
gram buttons.

The selected cycle will be shown in the display and with the
related light below the button pressed.
2) Place the sandwich on the glass making sure that the sand-
wich is fully underneath the upper heating plate.
Important!
The glass and the upper heating plate are heating also when
the lid is opened. Therefore, do not leave the sandwich on
the glass long before and long after the cooking cycle (risk of
overcooking).

3) Fully close the lid and twist the handle until the automatic
locking system can be activated.The appliance will start the
selected program showing the remaining time in minutes and
seconds as shown in fi gure.
Important!
During this time you cannot:
- open the lid
- change the program
and the only way to interrupt the cooking cycle and open the lid is to
turn off the appliance by pressing the On/Off button.
The appliance can be restarted as described in the above
chapter «START UP» .
4) A beep sound will indicate the end of the cycle and the lid
opens automatically.
Warning: During opening of the lid stay away and do not en-
cumber its movement.
5) Remove the sandwitch with the delivered plastic spatula
(653625).
Warning:
The glass and the upper heating plate are hot, risk of bur-
ning.
Important!
The glass and the upper heating plate are heating permanently.
Therefore, do not leave the sandwich on the glass long before
and long after the cooking cycle (risk of overcooking).
