ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Numbered references in parenthesis (#1) refer to the
included Parts List. Letter references in parenthesis (A)
refer to the included Identification Key.
Hardware Required:
•
3 Grade 5 Bolts (3/8 in. Diameter, 1 in. Length)
•
3 Nuts
•
3 Lock Washers
IMPORTANT! Using lock washers provides optimal metal to metal contact
between the jack and the coupler and ensures proper grounding.
1.
Disconnect the ground wire from the vehicle frame and the trailer battery.
2.
Place the outer tube (#5) into the A-frame coupler hole.
3.
Mount the jack using the hardware required (sold separately). Torque the
bolts to 15 to 20 ft/lb.
4.
Connect 7-pin trailer connector to vehicle's trailer plug.
5.
Or, if hard wiring, connect the black positive(+) lead to the positive terminal
of the battery, connect the yellow-green wire to negative (-) terminal. The
jack is internally grounded and needs no ground wire if 'A' frame is
properly grounded.
OPERATION
•
To raise the trailer off the ball, open the coupler and toggle the motor
switch (A) to extend the jack.
•
To lower the trailer onto the ball, toggle the motor switch to retract the jack.
Once the coupler has engaged the ball, continue to retract the jack up to the
STOP decal on the inner tube (#3). Close the coupler.
