3. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES
WARNING
• The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed
and in the manner specified in these instructions for use.
• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people
with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been
instructed on how to use the device safely, and have understood the
risks involved.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Danger of su ocation! Keep packaging materials away from children.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children
unless supervised.
DANGER
• Do not use this device near bathtubs, shower trays or other
containers which have water in them.
• Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other
liquids! If the device falls into water, do not reach into the water! First
switch o the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of
the socket.
• If using the curling tongs in the bathroom, unplug them after use –
this is because proximity to water constitutes a danger even when the
curling tongs are switched o .
• As an additional safety measure, the installation in the bathroom circuit
of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated tripping current not
exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.
WARNING
• This device is not designed for use in commercial areas.
• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a
similarly qualified person to avoid any risk. Do not use the device if it is
damaged or not functioning correctly.
• Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable
cable
around the curling tongs!
