V1.1 'Nano Carbon' Variable Shade Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet 8820193
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the
tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the
user and/or others.
CHANGE EXTERNAL AND
INTERNAL LENS
The external and internal lenses will wear out and need
replacement after a period of use due to exposure to the heat,
fumes and particulate matter generated during welding.
1.
Remove the filter cartridge (#2) by pressing the two lock
switches at the bottom of the retaining frame inwards. Pull
the retaining frame free from the welding helmet. Also
remove the external controls from the helmet shell.
2.
Remove the inner lens (#7) by pulling it from the top and
bottom. The new inner cover lens is installed after the
protective film is removed.
2.1 Insert the lens' leading edge under the tab on one side
of the cartridge.
2.2 Bend the lens in the middle and slide the other side
under the other tab and push into place.
3.
Reinsert the cartridge external control panel into the helmet.
4. Remove the external lens (#6) by pulling the lens frame out
of welding helmet.
4.1 Pull the lens from the lens frame.
4.2 Remove the protective film from the new cover lens
and slip it into the frame.
4.3 Insert the lens frame lens back into the helmet.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1.
Replace the battery by removing the battery cover plate
under the test button.
