It shall be the responsibility of the employer to ensure that applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) complies with applicable local safety codes.
9.
Any product that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn, or operates abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL
REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
10.
Before lifting a vehicle, ensure it is on a stable, flat, horizontal and clean surface (no grease nor oil) (1).
11.
Check the vehicle to lift is perfectly immobilised (2).
12.
To support the vehicle, use another appropriate means, e.g. a prop (3).
13.
To prevent the assembly from slipping, always centre the load on the hydropneumatic trolley jack properly.
14.
Never use "home made" extensions (4).
15.
When using the hydropneumatic trolley jack, no person must be inside the vehicle or lean on it.
16.
Check the oil level regularly (5). Conversely, too much oil can damage or alter the adjustment of the devices (see « instructions before use» ).
17.
When changing the oil, never use brake fluid, alcohol, glycerine, detergents, motor oil or used oil. Using dirty oil can cause major internal damage to your
equipment. For more information, contact your FACOM distributor directly. FACOM recommends using the oil grade
18.
Check the precaution label is legible at all times. When retrofitting your equipment, these labels are available (7) as well as the operating instructions
(NU-DL.1050A-DL.1530CA_0618).
19.
If the device jams, lift the vehicle with another jack until the first can be cleared.
20.
Do not use the hydropneumatic trolley jack in the presence of violent wind, frost, under extreme climates, near powerful magnetic fields or potentially
explosive atmospheres.
21.
Avoid any contact between the hydropneumatic trolley jack and food.
22.
Never use this hydropneumatic trolley jack to lift persons.
23.
Never use this hydropneumatic trolley jack as a handling means (for moving loads).
24.
Before use on a ship, please refer to the safety instructions in point 10 of these instructions.
25.
The maximum manual forces required for operating the hydropneumatic trolley jack (unloaded and loaded with the nominal load respectively) do not
exceed the following values:
To start moving an unloaded movable or mobile hydropneumatic trolley jack : 300 N
To maintain the movement of the unloaded hydropneumatic trolley jack : 200 N
To start moving a loaded mobile hydropneumatic trolley jack : 400 N
To maintain the movement of the loaded hydropneumatic trolley jack : 300 N
To lift the loaded hydropneumatic trolley jack using the lever of a hand pump: 400 N
To lift the loaded hydropneumatic trolley jack using a foot pump: 400 N
To lift the hydropneumatic trolley jack with a rated load ≤ 5 t using a crank: 250 N
NOTE If the loads generated exceed these values, they must be reduced by the intervention of additional persons.
26.
If oil overflows, please do not use the hydropneumatic trolley jack, and refer to section 6 of these user instructions or contact your Facom dealer.
27.
This hydropneumatic trolley jack is designed for 5000 operating cycles minimum.
28.
This hydropneumatic trolley jack complies with the NF EN 1494+A1 standard: Mobile or movable jacks and associated lifting equipment.
Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
2.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERFECT USE (§ 7.1.2 de l'EN 1494+A1)
1.
Before each use, check the hydropneumatic trolley jack. You must particularly check for oil leaks, damaged or missing parts.
2.
Faulty parts must be replaced by skilled staff with FACOM original parts.
3.
Each part in the hydropneumatic trolley jack must be checked in case of load considered abnormal or following a shock.
3.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTION
1.
First loosen the screw attached to the frame (8).
2.
Connect the hose and the spring to the lifting device (9).
- For 30t jack, the white hose is connected to the right inlet, the black hose is connected to the left inlet (10).
- For 50t jack, the white hose is connected to the left inlet, the Black hose is connected to the right inlet (10).
3.
To assemble the handle, see figure 11.
4.
To install the control lever, loosen the screw and rotate the control lever into the hole (12).
5.
Do a complete cycle of lifting and lowering with no load, to purge air from the hydraulic system.
4
OPERATION
1.
Loosen the contactor screw and turn the control lever towards the screw hole.
2.
Verify the control lever is the neutral position.
3.
Connect shop air supply to the hydropneumatic trolley jack. Minimum air pressure is 9 to 12 bars. Install an air filter/lubricator in the shop
air line, because water in the air line will damage the hydropneumatic trolley jack (6).
4.
Move the control lever to raise the saddle to the contact point. Move the control lever to neutral position (12).
5.
Check the placement of the hydropneumatic trolley jack. The load must be centered on the jack saddle. Avoid hydropneumatic trolley jack wheel
