Selecting cassette types
When you play back
We recommend using a mini DVCAM cassette
You can get the highest quality pictures with this drive by
using a mini DVCAM cassette, which is the highest quality
cassette.
You can also use a mini DV cassette, but in this case the
quality may not be as high.
You cannot use any other
standard DV, h 8 mm, H Hi8, j VHS, k S-VHS,
˚ VHSC, K S-VHSC, L Betamax, or ¬ ED
Betamax type cassettes.
This drive does not support the cassette memory function.
Copyright signal
When you play back
Using this drive, you cannot play back a tape that has copyright
control signals recorded. A message "COPY INHIBIT"
appears if you try to play back such a tape. This drive does not
record copyright control signals on the tape when it records.
When you record
You cannot use this drive and the DV interface cable to copy a
tape that has copyright control signals recorded. A message
"COPY INHIBIT" appears if the playback signal from such a
tape is input to this drive.
