Instructions for Proper Use and Handling
1. Open the lid and fill with water
Avoid Dry-Boil
The unit has a built-in function to protect against Dry-Boil. This
function will automatically switch the unit off under the following
circumstances:
When the unit is plugged in, but without water inside.
When water level is below the REFILL LINE for a long period of
time.
When power is cut off due to Dry-Boil function, please add water
to the FILL LINE and unit will start boiling and functioning.
NOTE: When power is cut off due to dry-boil, all signal lights will
turn off.
When using the pot for the
first time, or re-using it after
a long period: boil water
once and discard by
pumping it out. The boiled
water may have a plastic
odor, which will disappear
after two or three boils.
Do not fill water directly
from faucet (which can
cause short circuit and
electric shock).
Do not fill water over the
FILL LINE. Do not allow
water to overflow.
Do not pour water directly
on the control panel or
the main body.
2. Close the lid. Make sure
lid is closed securely:
When you press down on
the lid, you should hear a
"click" sound.
It is not unusual to hear
boiling sounds while lid is
closed.
