Important Safety Instructions

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons
or property, including the following:
1. Improper use may cause injuries and damage to the unit.
2. Do not attempt to repair the unit, disassemble or reconstruct the
unit, except by authorized service personnel.
3. Use an independent electrical outlet. Multiple connections to an
outlet may cause the outlet to heat up abnormally, resulting in fire.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord or unit in
water; or place unit on a wet surface.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
6. To prevent injuries due to overflow, do not fill water over the Fill
Line.
7. To protect from possible burns, do not overturn the unit when hot
water is in container.
8. Do not cover the Steam Escape Holes, which could lead to overflow
of hot water.
9. Do not close the lid with excessive force, causing water to overflow.
NOTE: This unit boils the water longer than an average kettle
(approximately 3 minutes) to improve the taste of the water.
Additional Important Safety Instructions
1. Keep end of plug and pin mounting surface clear of dust. To clean,
wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
2. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
3. This unit is designed to operate on a 120V AC outlet only.
4. Do not cut, twist, bundle, severely bend or intentionally cause any
damage to the power cord, this may result in electric shock or short
circuit and may cause fire.
5. To unplug – pull by the plug and not by the cord. Pulling by the
cord may cause damage to the power cord.
6. Do not place unit on uneven surfaces, or on surfaces that cannot
endure high temperature.
7. Do not place bare hand on or near steam escape vent. The high
temperature of the steam can burn your skin.
8. Do not refill water while boiling or immediately after boiling, as hot
water may splash out.
