12. Hygiene flush
At the factory, the hygiene flush function is set so that water flows for 3 minutes
every 24 hours. The solenoid valve cartridge is opened.
During the hygiene flush, the temperature of the water flow depends on
– the cold water pressure,
– the hot water pressure,
– the hot water temperature.
To avoid scalding, the pressure difference between hot water and cold water may not
exceed a certain ratio. This ratio depends on the hot water temperature.
At a hot water temperature of 65°C, the hot water pressure may not exceed 1.5 times
the cold water pressure.
You can adjust the hygiene flush parameters using the remote control (not part of the

You can choose an interval of 8, 24, 48, or 72 hours for the hygiene flush function. You
can adjust the flow time from 10 seconds to 10 minutes.
13. Maintenance and care
The fitting must be checked and maintained at regular intervals depending on the water
quality and in accordance with the local conditions, and rules and regulations applicable
at the site.
Use suitable cleaning agents which are not harmful to the fitting in a proper manner and
rinse with water after use. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.
Take note of the maintenance instructions for stainless steel.
Removing the housing
For some maintenance tasks, the housing must be removed.
13.1 Interrupt the water supply.
13.2 Loosen the fitting (a).
13.3 Remove the grub screw (c) from the fitting (a).
13.4 Remove the fitting (a), using the guide sockets (b).
13.5 Repeat work steps 13.2 to 13.4 for all fittings.
13.6 Loosen the screws.
13.7 Remove the guide socket (e).
13.8 Loosen the tension bolts (d).
13.9 Remove the housing.
13.10 Detach the cable connection between the battery compartment and the control unit
(g).
13.11 Loosen the cable connection between the solenoid valve cartridge (f) and the control
