The main brush sweeps dust and refuse into the refuse container at the rear of the sweeper.

Warning !
Never sweep up string, wire, etc., which can become entangled in the brush and damage the bristles.
Removing/mounting the main brush
The main brush can be removed from the left side of the sweeper. You need to proceed this way:
- open the brush inspection hatch 6;
- untighten the nut 1;
- disconnect the drive lever and roller 2;
- remove the brush 3.
- Fit the main brush and centre the notches with the f ns on the right-hand side drive support.
- Fit the assembly 2 on the brush; the holes 4 must mate with the studs 5.
- Tighten the nut 1 until the drive support engages with the brush.

Whenever the main brush is removed, remember to adjust the position of the brush to ensure perfect contact with
the ground.

When fi tting the main brush, follow the assembly direction (see fi g. 3A).
Replacing the main brush driving belts
Replace the drive belts on the right side of the machine, proceed as follows:
- open door 7
- loosen the tightener 8 and remove belt "X"
- loosen the tightener 9 and remove belt "Y"
- mount the new belts
- repeat the same operations in opposite way
Adjusting tension of the main brush driving belts
If the belts are loosen proceed to the its tension:
(tightener 8)
- loosen counternut A.
- turn clockwise the knob B to tensioning the belt X.
- tighten the counternut A.
(tightener 9)
- by the nut C loosen the tightener and tensioning the belt Y.
- tighten nut C.

Warning!
The belt tension must be set correctly! It must not be too taut as this will generate excessive loads on
the bearings.
