1. INTRODUCTION
The successful and safe operation of the chair is guaranteed only if it is used in accordance with the
specifications in this manual and, in general, in the accompanying documentation; therefore it is es-
sential to carefully read and keep all the relative documentation. Although the chair is equipped with
active and passive safety features, not all risks can be avoided due to its incorrect use. You must always
make sure that all users have fully understood the rules of use; the manufacturer declines any re-
sponsibility for damage to persons or property resulting from improper use of the device. Do not remove or damage
the labels, notices and warnings placed on side of the chair. In case you need to restore them, please contact the ma-
nufacturer. The manufacturer Brusaferri & C., declines any and every responsibility for failure to observe the rules of
safety and prevention described in the various sections of this manual and for any damage caused by improper use.
All interventions on the chair (maintenance, adjustments, repairs, cleaning) must be carried out by suitably trained
personnel and in accordance with what is indicated in this manual.
1.1. Destination of use and lifetime
The LEMI 3 chair is suitable for both cosmetic and medical treatments: body and face treatments, soft massages, pres-
sotherapy, ENT visits, dental surgery and implantology, stomatology, orthodontics, ophthalmology, diagnostics, minor
surgery interventions; LEMI 3 BI-ZAK especially is suitable for blood sample taking, chemotherapy and rehabilitation.
The estimated lifetime for the chair is 10 years.
WARNING! It is forbidden any use of the chair other than that described in this manual. Brusaferri & C.
declines any responsibility for malfunctions or damages to persons or property due to uses other than
those specified in this manual.
The chair should be used only by personnel who are informed about the use mode, operation and its
safety equipment.
1.2. Preservation of the manual
This operating manual should be kept for future reference. We recommend:
Keep the manual in a place accessible and known to all operators, protected from moisture and heat and
protected from the direct sun beams. Use the manual in order not to damage any part of the content:
do not remove, tear or modify any part of the manual.
In the case of sale or transfer of the chair to another person, this manual and its annexes should be delivered intact to
the new users.
WARNING! Please read this operation manual before using the chair. Anyone who uses the chair should
be properly informed on the parts of this manual relevant to the operations to be performed.
1.3. Labelling of the chair
The chair is provided with labels with the following data, in conformity with actual rules (see § 14. Label Legend)
WARNING! It is recommended not to remove the labels on the machine; labels must be preserved
well fixed, whole and easy to read.
WARNING! The data present on each label, must be reported in case of need of assistance or spare
parts.
1.4. Warning messages
The chair is provided with signs showing phrases or symbols; pay attention to the warnings on the equipment.
The symbol that warns against the risk of electrocution is located next to the plug of the electric supply.
The yellow label warning "DON'T PUT YOUR FOOT ON – DON'T PUT OBJECTS ON" is located next to moving parts: it
warns against putting any object or limb in the chair movement area in order to avoid crushing damages.
