Shake the fuel mixing bottle before refueling.
Pressure may form inside the tank, for this reason
it shall be opened carefully. Avoid direct skin
contact and inhalation of flammable vapours.
When refilling the fuel tank, do not add petrol above the
maximum level of the filler cap.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Before any maintenance or cleaning work, place
the chainsaw on a level surface, switch off the
engine and remove the spark plug cap from the spark
plug.
Never touch the exhaust, spark plug, or other
metal parts of the engine while the engine is
running or immediately after turning off the engine.
Doing so can lead to severe burns or electric shock;
Sharpening a saw chain
You should sharpen the chain every time:
The sawdust is very fine (powder);
You need to exert more force to the cut than
usual;
The chainsaw is not cutting straight;
You notice the chainsaw is vibrating too much;
Fuel consumption is higher.
When you sharpen the chain:
Make sure the chainsaw is secure;
Always wear work gloves;
Do not have the engine running;
Use a round file with the correct diameter for the
chain;
Reverse the guide bar from time to time to allow
a homogeneous wear;
Check that the slots where the chain runs along
the guide bar, are with the corners at 90°;
More rounded corners mean that the guide bar
must be replaced.
Checking the chain oil
After starting the engine, make the saw chain turn at a
medium speed and check if the oil (10W30) has spread,
as shown in the image:
Adjusting the oil flow
Never fill the oil tank or adjust the oiler with the
engine running.
An increase in the oil flow on the saw chain will
accelerate oil consumption, which requires more
frequent inspections of the oil tank. To ensure enough
lubrication, it may be necessary to check the oil level
more frequently. The guide-chain bar and saw chain are
automatically lubricated by an oil pump that operates
whenever the chain rotates. The pump has been
programmed to provide a minimum flow, but can be
modified. A temporary increase in oil flow is often
desirable when making thicker wood cuts.
Adjust the pump as follows:
1. Stop the engine and check if the chain brake is
engaged;
2. Place the chainsaw on its side;
The oil-flow adjustment screw should be slightly
pressed in order to turn. Not doing so could
damage the pump and screw.
3. Insert a screwdriver under the chainsaw and turn it in
the desired direction:
Clockwise - less lubrication;
Counter-clockwise - increased lubrication;
Air filter cleaning
Dirty air filters reduce engine power, increase fuel
consumption and make start-ups more difficult.
1. Remove the protective cover from the cylinder by
lifting the lever;
2. Remove the spark plug cap;
3. Remove the air filter by pushing the metal lever
forward;
The use of a dirty filter will restrict the air flow in the
carburetor affecting the performance of the chainsaw;
