5.3 Adjusting the air louvre
setting
Button L
For better air distribution in the room, the
direction of the air flow can be changed.
When the button II is actuated, the
following positions of the air outlet louvre
can be adjusted. Symbols shown on the
remote control display:
Automatic
The direction of the air is
adjusted automatically as a
function of the operating
mode.
Heating
Cooling
Dehumidifying Horizontal
Ventilation
The air outlet flap can be moved into
these 6 different positions.
Swing
The air outlet louvre will
move
continuously up and down.
5.4 Adjusting the air volume
Button J
The air volume can be changed with the
help of button J.
Symbols on the display of the remote
control:
Low air volume
Medium air volume
High air volume
Automatic (the air volume
is adjusted automatically to
the value required, as a
function of the room
temperature).
5.5 Setting the clock
To adjust the current time shown on the
display of the remote control, the remote
control unit must first be switched on with
button B. Then use a pointed object to
press gently on button M. The first time it
is pressed, the hour display will flash, and
the second press will make the minutes
flash. If the button is actuated several
times, the clock time will be stored. If the
hours or minutes display flashes, the time
can be changed with the buttons H
and I
.
5.6 Adjusting the timer mode and
programming
Vertical
By using button G, the following timer
Horizontal
operating modes can be selected. The
timer operating mode is switched on when
Horizontal
one of the symbols shown below appears
on the display:
First carry out the setting for the air-
conditioning system (e.g cooling, setpoint
temperature 22 °C, and air volume). By
pressing button G once or repeatedly, the
appropriate symbol will appear and the last
clock time to be programmed will appear
on the display. By actuating the buttons H
and I
the desired clock time (time
for switching on and off) can be adjusted.
Settings in increments of 15 minutes from
0.00 to 23.45 hours are possible.
In order to store the clock time which has
been set, and to activate the timer, the
button C must be pressed for at least 2
seconds. The LED P on the unit confirms
that the timer has been switched on.
If the timer has been switched on, the
symbol for the programmed operating
mode appears on the display of the
remote control, together with the current
time.
The air-conditioning system operates with
timer programming until the unit is
switched on and off manually (button B),
or new programming is carried out. By
pressing button C, the previous
programming can be reactivated.

If combined programming is selected, the
timer will automatically switch the system
on and off every day.
To implement combined programming,
proceed as follows:
Before selecting the function, the data for
the switching-on time (as described above)
is to be entered, and stored by actuating
button G. The symbol for programmed
switching-off will automatically appear in
the display. The data for the switch-off
time is then entered. If button G is
pressed repeatedly, the symbol for
combined programming will appear. At the
same time, the display will show the
symbol for switching on alternating with
the symbol for switching off, with the
current time in each case.
To activate the program, press button C
for at least 2 seconds. The display will
show the symbol for combined
programming.
The LED P on the unit will light up.
The timer programming can be
deactivated again at any time by pressing
button C.
Button K
Night-time
switching off
Night-time switching off is a convenience
switching option for bedrooms.
One hour after this function has been
activated, the temperature which has been
selected for cooling operation rises by 1
°C or falls by 1 °C in heating operation, or
by 2 °C in two hours. After 5 hours the
unit will switch off completely.
The air-conditioning system is operated at
the smallest air volume possible, in order
to reduce noise level to a minimum.
When this function has been activated, the
switch-off time is shown on the display of
the remote control for a few seconds. This
function can be deactivated with button C.
6 Cleaning, care, and maintenance
of the air-conditioning unit
In order to ensure trouble-free operation
of the air-conditioning system, it is
recommended that the inspections and
maintenance procedures indicated be
carried out. The electricity supply to the
system is to be disconnected every time
before any cleaning or maintenance. The
time intervals are dependent on the
installation location, dust volume, etc.
