5.2 Use
WARNING
The set-up of the device installation and maintenance should only be carried out by professionals.
• Do not leave the appliance running without supervising it.
• During use, your hands should be dry.
• Do not move or tilt the device during operation.
MANUAL
START-UP
The device must be completely removed from its packaging. All protections must be completely removed. Do
not install this appliance near open fires, or other heating appliances.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Place the device in a well-ventilated place. Plug in the grill, turn the thermostat knob to the maximum position
and turn on the appliance. This will dry out any remaining moisture and burn off any plant sediment.
When the maximum temperature is reached, turn off the device, let it cool for about an hour.
Clean the surface of the grill with a cleaning brush with cleaning liquid and hot water. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
Heat the cast iron griddle for about 10 minutes until all the smoke and / or odors are gone. Scrub the surface
with steel wool and detergent to remove the coating.
Unplug the appliance, then use hot soapy water to clean it.
USE
Adjust the dials to set the bread thickness to the desired settings. Please note that after a first set of 4-6 rolls,
adjust the orders according to the desired finished product.
Plug in, turn the switch to ON. Turn the thermostat knob to the desired position. Once the interior temperature
is reached, the element will be switched off.
Place the toast in the vertical toaster with the cut sides of the top and bottom of the burger facing each other.
The toasted product will fall into the tray.
Test at least 4 rolls before putting the toaster into service.
When you are not cooking, turn off the thermostat, turn the power switch to OFF. Unplug the device. It is
advisable not to let the motor run continuously for more than 4 hours.
NOTE
The appliance is fitted with a safety system in the event of overheating. If triggered, unplug the device and
allow it to cool. If this protection system operates regularly, it is imperative to contact your dealer.
After automatic shutdown, the device can only be put into service by pressing the Reset button on the back
of the device, wait for the temperature to drop, press the Reset button.
