DEFROSTING
It is recommended that the freezer is defrosted periodically or when the thickness of the frost is more
than 3 mm.
Do not scrape off hoarfrost or ice with a knife or pointed object. Doing this may damage the
refrigerant tubes.
1. Set the temperature control knob to the MIN position and unplug the appliance from the mains
supply.
2. Open the door and remove all the frozen food and wrap in thick blankets or layers of paper to keep
them cold.
3. To accelerate the defrosting process, place a pan of hot water on a stand in the freezer.
4. After defrosting is finished, clean the inside of the appliance. Wipe up condensation with a cloth or
sponge. Wipe dry the compartment.
5. Plug the appliance back to the mains socket.
6. Place the food back into the freezer and set the temperature to the desired setting.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
y Upon installation of your new appliance, it is recommended to clean it thoroughly.
y It is recommended to clean the freezer each time it is defrosted to help keep the
freezer run efficiently.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
1. Set the temperature control knob to the MIN position and disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket.
2. Take out the food and store in a cool location.
3. Clean the appliance with a soft cloth, warm water and detergent.
4. Wipe the door seal with clear water only and then wipe dry thoroughly.
5. After cleaning reconnect and adjust the temperature control knob as desired.
6. Put the food back into the appliance.
Cleaning tips
y Remove the drawers from the appliance. Wash them in warm soapy water with a
soft sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
y Wipe the interior parts (including temperature control knob) with a damp cloth
