The feeding pipes have to be rinsed thoroughly before the installation of the mixer, so that no shavings, welding or hemp residual or other dirt can be found in the pipes. Foreign bodies can enter the mixer through the rinsed pipes or the general water plant and could damage the washers/ring washers.

- Page 15 INSTALLATION - INSTALLATION - INSTALACIÓN ADJUSTMENT OF THE SAFETY TEMPERATURE LOCK Thesafetylockoftheexternalthermostaticmixerisadjustedbythemanufactureratatemperatureof 100±34°F.Afterinstallingtheproductitisrecommendedtoconfirmsuchvalue. Todothisitisnecessarytokeepthetemperatureadjustmenthandlepositionedto100°F,thenstartflowing waterbyturningthehandleadjustingtheflowandmeasurethetemperatureoftheflowingwaterwitha simple thermometer. If the water temperature is different from the nominal one set by the thermostatic, proceedwiththefollowingoperations.Positionthetemperatureadjustmenthandleto100°F,loosenby meansofthespecialAllenscrewthefixingscrewonthelowerpartofthehandleandtofinishremoveit from the pin of the cartridge. Withthehelpofthesamehandleturnthepinclockwise(inordertoobtainadecreaseofthetemperature) orcounter-clockwise(toobtainanincreaseofthetemperature)tillobtainingatemperatureof100°Fof theflowingwater.Reinstallthentheadjustmenthandleinawaythattheredsafetybuttonisalignedwith the reference red notch present on the plastic ring.

- Page 21 MAINTENANCE - ENTRETIEN - MANUTENCIÓN REPLACING THE THERMOSTATIC CARTRIDGE Before carrying out this operation make sure that water of the water mains is closed. Removethefinishplugpayingattentionnottodamageitandunscrewthescrew to extract the handle, removing it from the cartridge. Removemanuallythepress-fitbushfromthemixer. Loosen the tightening ring nut. Remove from the body the damaged thermostatic cartridge. Then follow the opposite procedure to fasten the new cartridge on the built-in body, keeping the proper references.

Ifwaterissuppliedinaverysmallquantity,checktheconditionsofthefiltergasketspositionedinside supply tubes. Disconnectcompletelythemixerfromthebuilt-inpartinthefloor.Unscrewtheringnutsatthebottomof thepipesandremovethefiltergaskets. Clean using running water to remove impurities. Check that also the seats are free from impurities or limestone.
