BEFORE THE FIRST USE
·
Remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.
·
Wipe the inside and outside of the fryer clean with a soft cloth.
·
When using the appliance for the first time there may be a slight smell and light smoke from the
cooking plates. This is normal.
USE
1.
Place the appliance on a dry, flat surface and ensure there is adequate ventilation.
2.
Put the mains plug in the wall socket. Turn on the appliance using the power switch.
3.
Turn the thermostat to the position required for the food to be cooked. This goes from 1 to a
maximum of 3. The appliance will start to heat up. The 'on/off' indicator light will illuminate to show
that the appliance is on.
4.
The 'ready to use' indicator light will illuminate when the appliance has
reached the set temperature. Open the appliance and place the food inside.
Then close the appliance. The floating lid adjusts automatically to the
thickness of the food. This ensures the cooking surface maintains optimal
contact with the food for an even grilling result.
Note: The 'ready to use' indicator light will go off and on regularly as the appliance continuously
maintains its temperature.
5.
When your mixture has finished grilling, open the lid and remove the food from the appliance using
a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal objects as these can damage the non-stick coating.
6.
After use, turn the thermostat to minimum. Turn off the appliance by setting the switch to 0.
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
NOTES
·
Defrost frozen food before putting it in the appliance.
·
The excess fat or moisture from the food is collected in the drip tray.
·
Attention: never close the safety lock while the appliance is cooking. This lock should only be used for
easy storage of the appliance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
·
Set the thermostat to the minimum position. Turn off the appliance by setting the switch to 0. Remove
the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down completely.
·
It is recommended that all food residues be removed with a wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic
utensil while the appliance is still hot. If the residues dry up, they will be harder to remove.
·
Clean the outside and the baking sheets with a damp clean cloth. Dry the appliance off well. Never use
aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
·
Never submerge the appliance, the electric cord or the plug into water or another liquid.
·
The catch basin for fat and moisture can be removed for easy cleaning. Clean it in hot water
using a mild detergent.
·
You can store the appliance upright. To do so close the lock to prevent the appliance from
opening.
