STAR 6 HEAT CONTROLLER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (cod. STAR6)
Thank you for purchasing the STAR6 heat controller. STAR6 is a high-quality product that is built to
last. All Helios IRK heaters can be equipped with STAR heat controllers. Our heat controllers ensure
maximum flexibility in heat control and are constructed using the latest microprocessor technology.
All controllers are checked before shipping to ensure their efficiency.
INSTALLATION
The STAR6 controller must always be wall mounted on a non-flammable and stable surface (e.g.
tiles, cement, steel). The controller must be installed by attaching the housing in an upright position
with the heat sink at the top. The power and load cables must be of an appropriate size and
insulated. The earth conductor for the power supply and the load must be longer than the others so
that they are the last to tauten in case the cable clamp loosens. The Controller must not be installed
inside containers or cabinets because a lack of ventilation can cause damage. Use power and load
cables that are able to withstand at least 90°. When installing, an omnipolar circuit-breaker with a
contact opening of at least 3.5 mm must be used.
The signal receiver may be disturbed when other electrical frequencies are transmitted from other
appliances operating in the same area that have the same frequencies.
