WARNINGS
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury
Do not use this product for functions other than those described in this booklet.
•
After unpacking the product, inspect it for damage: if in doubt, please contact a Star Progetti
•
Assistance Centre immediately. Do not leave any packing materials within reach of children or
persons with disabilities.
This product is not intended for use by any person (including children) with limited physical,
•
sensory or mental abilities or by persons with lack of experience and knowledge of it, unless
they are under the supervision of or instructed in its use by a person responsible for their
safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not use the appliance near inflammable substances or vapours such as alcohol,
•
insecticide, petrol, etc.
Always disconnect the heat controller from the mains supply before carrying out any cleaning
•
or maintenance.
When you decide to stop using the device, switch it off and disconnect it from the mains. Store
•
it out of reach of children and persons with disabilities.
Do not connect Star6 controllers to heaters with a power rating of more than 6000 watts.
•
Do not connect the controller to the mains until it has been secured in place.
•
CAUTION: FIRE HAZARD
Do not modify the product in any way.
•
Do not place objects on the controller.
•
Do not cover or obstruct the controller while it is running.
•
Visually inspect the product on a regular basis to check for damage. In case of defects, do not
•
use the controller and contact an authorized Technical Service Centre immediately.
Make sure that the electrical system to which the product is connected is up to code.
•
The STAR6 controller must be properly connected to an efficient earthing system as required
•
by current electrical safety regulations. In case of doubt, contact a qualified electrician to check
it thoroughly.
Connect the product to the mains only if the capacity of the system is able to handle the
•
maximum power rating. If not, please contact a qualified electrician immediately.
If the product drops or is subject to a heavy blow, bring it immediately to an authorised
•
Technical Support Centre so it can be checked.
In case of malfunctioning and/or failure, disconnect the device from the mains. Contact a Star
•
Progetti Service Centre immediately.
Do not use the controller for energy-saving fluorescent lamps.
•
Do not use the controller for adjusting electric motors or transformers.
•
Using the product for any purposes other than those specified in this instruction booklet may
•
cause damage to STAR6, as well as short circuits and fire.
The mains voltage must match the information on the name plate affixed to the STAR6
•
controller.
All applicable accident and safety regulations in the country of installation must be complied
•
with.
The heat sink on the housing with a maximum load of 6000 watt may reach a temperature of
•
60°C.
The controller must always be connected to the earth contact.
•
Check the controller on a regular basis to verify whether there are any malfunctions.
