4. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
For hygienic reasons, the interior of the appliance, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly.
Caution! Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the power supply.
Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot
vapors can lead to the damage of plastic parts. The appliance must be dry before it is put back into service.
Important!
Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice or the juice from orange peel, butyric acid, or
cleanser containing acetic acid.

Do not allow such substances to come into contact with the appliance parts.

Remove the food from the freezer. Cover them well and store them in a cool place.
y
Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, switch off the circuit breaker, or turn off the fuse.
y
Clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap. Regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure
they are clean and free from debris. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
y
Never use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as this will damage the
surface and leave a strong odor.

Once everything is dry, place the appliance back into service
Replace the lamp
The internal light is a LED type. To replace the lamp, please contact qualified technician.
Defrosting of the freezer
The freezer compartment will progressively cover with frost, which must be removed. Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the
evaporator as you could damage it.
However, when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out as follows:
y
pull out the plug from the socket;
y
remove all stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place;
y
keep the door open, and placing a basin underneath of the appliance to collect the defrost water;
y
when defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly
y
replace the plug in the power socket to run the appliance again.
Clean drain hole
To avoid having defrosted water from overflowing into the fridge, periodically clean the drain hole at the back
of fridge compartment. Use a cleaner to clean the hole as shown in the picture on the right.
