Correcting faults yourself
The motor of the appliance is equipped with a
thermal cut-out which automatically switches of
the motor if it overheats. In this case, complete
the following steps:

Switch of the appliance and disconnect the
mains plug from the wall socket.

Look for the cause of the overheating
(blocked hoses/tubes, dirty ilter, etc.).

Remove any blockages; if necessary clean
the ilter.
4
Leave the motor to cool for approx. 1 hour.

Insert the power plug into the wall socket and
switch the appliance on. It should now work.

If the appliance cannot be switched on, wait
for another 30 minutes and try again.

If the appliance still won't work, please
contact your dealer or the GRUNDIG service
centre.
Caution
If your appliance vacuums large objects (like
napkins, tissues, etc.) the air channels may get
blocked and the suction power decreases sud-
denly.
In this case switch of the appliance and discon-
nect the mains plug from the wall socket.

Open the base body plug cover by turning it
anticlockwise (refer to the picture) and remove
the stuck foreign objects out. Replace the plug
cover into its place and continue operating the
appliance.
Cord and hose storage
There is a convenient parking slot located at
the rear of the vacuum cleaner where the loor
tool and hose can be parked for carrying and
storage.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a
long period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure that the appliance is unplugged.
Do not wrap the power cord around the appli-
ance; rewind the power cord as described in the
'Operation' section.
Always store the appliance base down.
Store it in a cool, dry place.
Make sure the appliance is always kept out of
the reach of children.
