spond to all relevant directives of the EU and are
therefore marked with

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect them against dripping water and splash
water, high air humidity and heat (admissible
ambient temperature range: 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not operate the receiver and immediately
disconnect the power supply unit from the
socket
1. if the units are visibly damaged,

2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by
skilled personnel.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liabil-
ity for any resulting personal damage or mate-
rial damage will be accepted if the units are
used for other purposes than originally
intended, if they are not correctly connected or
operated, or if they are not repaired in an
expert way.

cling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
3 Applications
Combined with two transmitters of the TXS-862
series from "img Stage Line", the multifrequency
receiver TXS-862 creates a two-channel wire-
less audio transmission system ideally suited for
professional stage applications. Both receiver
units of the TXS-862 use the diversity technol-
ogy: The signal transmitted is received by two
antennas placed at a distance from each other
and then checked for its quality. The signal with
the highest signal quality will be used.
The transmission system operates in the
UHF range 740 – 776 MHz. Six channel groups
with preset channels in different numbers
(22 max.) are available. Frequency matching is
very easy: Via a radio signal, the receiver unit
will set the transmitter to the same transmission
frequency (REMOSET function).
.
gerous mains voltage. Leave ser -
vicing to skilled personnel only.
Inexpert handling of the unit may
result in electric shock.
3.1 Conformity and approval
Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare
that the unit TXS-862 is in accordance with the
basic requirements and the other relevant regu-
lations of the directive 1999/5/EC. The declara-
tion of conformity is available on request from
MONACOR INTERNATIONAL. The receiver is
licence-free and generally approved for opera-
tion in EU and EFTA countries.
4 Rack Installation
Either use the receiver as a desktop unit or
install it into a rack for units with a width of
482 mm (19"). For rack installation, unscrew the
four feet. Fasten the two mounting brackets (5)
provided via two screws each to the left and right
sides of the receiver.
5 Connection
1) Insert the two antennas (1) provided into the
antenna jacks ANT. 1 and ANT. 2 (17) . Place
the antennas in a vertical position.
Hint: To increase the range and the interference
resistance, use the antenna amplifier set TXS-
872BOOST available as an accessory instead of
the antenna pair. The amplifiers are supplied with
power via the antenna jacks of the receiver.
2) To connect the subsequent unit, e. g. mixer or
amplifier, the following audio outputs are
available:
AF OUTPUT BAL. (11)
balanced XLR outputs, one each for the
signal of the receiver unit CH 1 and the sig-
nal of the receiver unit CH 2, for connection
to a microphone input or highly sensitive
line input
AF OUTPUT MIXED / BAL. (14)
balanced 6.3 mm output jack for the mixed
signal of the two receiver units, for connec-
tion to a microphone input or a highly sen-
sitive line input;
for connection to an unbalanced input, use
the cable provided
3) Connect the power supply unit provided to
the power supply jack (16) and to a mains
socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz).
6 Operation
Do not switch on the transmitters of the system
yet.
To switch on the receiver, press the button
POWER (4). When the unit is switched on, the
rings around the REMOSET buttons (6) light up.
After briefly indicating the identification number
(
chapter 6.1.3), the display (10) of each
receiver unit shows:
– the group
(g) and the channel (h) from
...
the group (overview of groups and channels
table in chapter 7.1)
– the indication MUTE (f)
The muting function will be activated when no
radio signal is received from the transmitter on
the transmission frequency adjusted, when the
signal received is poor or when the transmitter
is muted (possible for transmitter TXS-862HT
only).
Make the following settings for each receiver unit
separately:
1) Before switching on the transmitter, set the
receiver unit to a free and interference-free
transmission frequency
When the transmission frequency has been
set and the reception indication RF (a) shows
a radio signal (one or several segments of the
