Start-up
• Thread the screw channel (C) on
the rear side over the screw head.
• Put the cover (B) onto the electro-
nics unit (D), ensuring that it lat-
ches fully into place.
6.2.3 Mounting the sensor
The adapters are compatible with gas
meters supplied by the following man-
ufacturers, provided they have been
prepared for the installation of a pulse
pick-up:
• Itron (Pipersberg, Actaris) (I)
• Metrix (Apator) (J)
• Elster (Kromschröder, Honeywell) (K)
Identify the manufacturer of your
gas meter and select the appropriate
adapter.
6.2.3.1 Adapter 1 Itron (Pipersberg,
Actaris)
To mount the sensor, proceed as fol-
lows:
• Feed the plug-connector end of
the connection cable (H) through
the opening in the adapter.
• Pull the cable through until the ES-
GAS-2 electronics unit (G) reaches
the adapter.
• Insert the ES-GAS-2 electronics
unit (G) so the guide ribs fit pre-
cisely in the guide rails of the adap-
ter:
• A Guide rails 1 and 2 (pulse magnet
installed on the second-last roller*)
or
• B Guide rails 2 and 3 (pulse magnet
installed on the third-last or last
roller*).

• Snap the adapter on the upper side
into the opening provided in the
gas meter.
