During charging or discharging the display can be switched between various values by pressing the DIS-
PLAY button: battery voltage, charge current, charged capacity and charging time.

Trickle Charge

When the battery is fully charged, the cahrging mode is automatically switched to trickle charge. The battery
will be now charged with a low current (60 mA).

Refresh Mode

In the REFRESH mode (REFRESH is shown on the display), the battery is charged several times and then
discharged again to restore old or long-time unused batteries and bring them back to maximum capacity.
Depending on the charging current, the process can take 10 hours or several days. When the process is
completed, the battery is charged with the trickle charge (see above).
• Press the MODE button for 1 second to change the mode for all battery compartments. To change the
mode on a single battery compartment, press key 1... 4 first.
• Each press of the button changes the mode, stop when REFRESH is displayed.
• By (repeatedly) pressing CURRENT the charge or discharge current is increased gradually between 200
mA and 1 A.
• The refresh mode will start automatically after a few seconds, the display will show CHARGE REFRESH.
The battery will be fully charged first, then discharged - the display shows DISCHARGE REFRESH. Now
the discharge current may optionally be adjusted by using the CURRENT key.
