c) Rechargeable Battery
• The rechargeable battery is firmly integrated in the cordless screwdriver and can-
not be replaced.
• The rechargeable battery must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown
into fire. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns
to skin when touched without the use of adequate protective gloves.
• The rechargeable battery must not get wet or moist; this may cause fire or explo-
sion.
• As the charger as well as the rechargeable battery in the cordless screwdriver will
heat up during the charging process, it is necessary to ensure sufficient ventila-
tion. Never cover the charger or the cordless screw driver!
• When the rechargeable battery is charged, disconnect the cordless screwdriver
from the charger, and pull the charger from the mains socket.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery while it is still hot (e.g. due to operation in
the cordless screw driver). Allow the cordless screw driver to cool down to room
temperature before charging it again.
• Do not charge the rechargeable battery if the cordless screwdriver is damaged.
This can result in a fire or explosion! Dispose of such unusable cordless screw
driver in an environmentally compatible fashion. Do not continue to use them.
• Recharge the cordless screw driver about every 3 months, as otherwise they
might be fully discharged due to self-discharge, which renders the rechargeable
battery useless.
• The cordless screwdriver can either be charged via the enclosed charger or via
another suitable USB mains unit that supplies an output voltage of 5 V/DC and an
output current of at least 1 A.
